Shaun the Sheep Activity

I found this activity here:http://funcraftskids.com/sheep-lamb-crafts-wine-cork-printing/ We made some changes. I printed the Shaun the Sheep face and Li glued it onto the paper. And Li also used some stickers to make it original.

Easter Bunny

This is a very simple activity to do with children. For these cute Easter Bunnies you need a toilet paper roll, a stapler, scissors, watercolours, a glass of water, a paintbrush, a glue and a bunny face template (we printed this one: http://easter.newarchaeology.com/bunnymask1.png). Procedure: Cut two rings from the toilet paper roll for ears with the scissors. Fix them to the rest of the roll with a stapler. Colour the bunny with the watercolours and the paintbrush. Let it dry for a while. Cut the bunny face template with the scissors and then glue it to your bunny. Have fun :-)

Mega Easter Egg

Easy-peasy activity with stunning effect. Great for Easter decoration of your house. You have to print the parts of the egg from here: http://funcraftskids.com/free-easter-colouring-page/ Then cut it with the scissors and glue onto the cardboard paper (we used A2 format). Colour with the crayons or wax crayons or watercolours or make it original by using your phantasy :-). Have fun.

Spring School Holidays

Pupils in our county had spring school holidays from 23 to 27 February. We went to Optima in Košice, we went ice-skating to Sabinov, we went skiing to Bachledová dolina and we also visited our friends living in Žilina. Here are the photos of kids enjoying their holidays.

Majorettes pom pom

You can find instructions how to make these majorettes pom pom here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxL1fO2eZhs This activity is not suitable for small children. However, I put it here, because children can jump and dance like the majorettes while listening to music and have fun.

The Sea with Li

I did this activity with Di and I wanted also Li to do it so I bought some fish stickers and we started to make our own sea. For this activity you need a cardboard paper, pastels, watercolours and brushes, a cup of water and the fish stickers. Firstly, you draw some fish or sea creatures, waves and maybe seaweed...then paint it with watercolours. Put it away to dry out and then follow with the use of stickers.

Dinner

I found this activity here: http://picklebums.com/2014/07/22/fun-food-play-dough-mats/ and I wanted to try it at once. So I printed the mats, laminated them and slipped them to kids. They were whole-souled about them and began their creations...

Playdough Hide and Seek

Li was watching a story about Masha and the Bear. It is a Russian fairytale that is very popular here. There was also an add about Masha and the Bear on the Internet which inspired me to do this activity. You need playdough and some figures from kinder surprise...I hid the animal into the playdough and Li had to find it. We also played the game vice versa :-)

Loom Bracelet

http://loomlove.com/8-easy-bracelets-rainbow-loom-beginners/ We returned from England on 19 August and brought these rainbow loom elastics. There are many video instructions how to make the bracelets. Children make them with the forks or pencils or they use some plastic instruments. I bought those wooden figures in Tchibo a couple weeks ago, so we tried to use them with the elastics and they worked perfectly. Firstly, I had to learn it myself and then I taught Di to create the bracelets. It is easy so Di quickly caught the method and those two bracelets in the pictures were made by Di.

Salt Painting

For this activity we used: salt, white glue, water colours, paintbrushes, bowl, cardboard papers, water. Instructions: Lay your paper and pour white glue onto your page. You could draw a picture or simply make patterns and shapes. Go wild and cover as much of the page as possible for maximum effect. Pour table salt over the glue. Be generous. You don’t want to skimp on the salt here. Once you have covered all the glue with salt, lift up the page and shake off the excess salt. Shake it into the bowl so that you can recycle the salt for your next picture.Dip your paintbrush into the watercolour paints, then to te water and drop some colour onto the salt. You only need to drop a little colour in one spot. You are not actually brushing the colour over the page with the brush. Then sit back and watch the colour spread and run along the lines of salt. Make the photos while wet because these pictures are not built to last. The salt will crumble and fall off the page as it dries.
