Plasticine

I offered the plasticene to Li. First she was caught by the activity, but it did not last long. The plasticene was tough and I tried to make it softer, but it did not help. I showed her how to make a ball or roller, but it was difficult for her. So I prepared some shapes and made a flower. However, Li was more interested in destroying it. Maybe I should try softer dough next time.

Corn Sensory Bin

I found a packet of old corns in our pantry, so I thought it would be great to prepare a sensory bin for Li and I was right. She wants to play with it every day and she is able to engage in this activity for at least 40 minutes! Of course, I always watch her to prevent eating corns. She pours it to another bin, then gives it back. I hide some toys or chestnuts in corns and she tries to find them or just touches the corn and makes a mess...but it´s always fun for her.

Princess Dance

This activity was Di´s idea. She likes the song Princess Dance (Tanec princezen) recorded by Míša Ružičková, which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHVDzbpbre4 Di put on her pink dress and so did Li. They watched the video and danced together. Li likes dancing very much and so does Di. Di goes to majorette club two times a week.

Red Currant Harvest

I haven´t been here for such a long time, but now I feel I should come back as soon as possible and continue with this blog adventure. Well, we have been on Dobrý Festival 2013 with our kids recently, because I won two tickets and there was a stall with some Montessori activities for children. This reminded me of my blog immediately...so here I am, with some new photos from Goodfest taking place in Prešov every year.

Dishwasher Basket

Here is a very simple activity for

one year olds. All you need is a dishwasher basket and some cutlery for kids. Your child surely watches you putting the things in it, so he or she will know what to do. I think that this activity builds positive attitude towards housework at all.

Di`s Theater

It was raining for three days and we couldn`go out, so Di suddenly got bored. There were some coulisses and story book characters to cut in the Šikovníček magazine, so I helped Di to cut them and we created the theater. First Di was the audience and I played the stories and then we changed the roles.
