Goose kit

This goose kit comes from first-school and it was quite easy to do. I printed it black and white, cut and painted the parts of the goose. Di glued the parts on the body. She had to consider where to put the right components.
We are flying to Bulgaria on Friday, so have a nice holiday!!! We will be back in August. I packed some stuff to do with Di. Enjoy!

Numbers

Di practiced numbers with these puzzles. I bought them in a local shop and they weren`t expensive. I am a little bit nervous before our holiday. Di must feel it, because she is also restless. If only I could get over it and to live it up.

The sea II

We are going on holiday to Bulgaria. We are busy with packing and arranging the things. Di is going to the seaside for the first time, so I try to prepare her by talking about Bulgaria and the sea. To do this activity a plastic cover, a blue playdough or plasticine, fish pasta and sea shells are needed. At first Di stuffed the cover with the playdough. Then she pressed the fish into the sea and finally she pressed there some sea shelles. Well done!

Baloon game

I filled two white baloons with rice, two white baloons with sand and two white baloons with corn. At first Di touched the baloons and compressed them. Then I chose one of them and her task was to find the one with the same contents. She practiced the sense of touch.

Cents

I don`t really like this activity, because money are very dirty. When Di was younger I cleaned them with vinegar water, but finally I gave it up. It is very important to wash her hands after that. However, Di has her money box and she is very proud of it. In this photo Tom is teaching her to recognize the cent coins. Tom gave her the euro puzzle, so she tried to put it together, but it was complicated for two and half year old kid, so I finally helped her.

Cleaning

We usually make cleaning on Saturday. Di is really hardworking. Sometimes she strews her toys, but then she tries to put them back. It doesn`t hold, when she loses her nerv. She likes washing up her tea service and she likes hoovering the floor. She is also helpful in other cleaning activities.

Terrace pool

I went with my sis to Prešov, so my mother took care about Di. Mom prepared a pool on our terrace for Di. She likes having a bath in her inflatable pool with a lot of balls and toys, so I think, she really didn`t miss me much...

Zoo and Chalet

We went to FMC Mamulienka to meet other moms and kids and mom Zuzana suggested to go to Zoo in Spišská Nová Ves in the afternoon. So I joined and Maťa joined too. It started to rain in the afternoon, but we didn`t mind and the weather really got better. On the way home we stopped at Spiš chalet where we had dinner. There are a lot of attractions for kids, so they didn`t want to go home.

Bottle game

I filled two opaque bottles with sugar, two bottles with almonds and two bottles with pasta. First Di played with bottle rattles and then I chose one bottle and she had to find the other one with the same sound.

Smashed flowers

This activity is simple to Hammered leaf prints on Chasing cheerios. We picked some flowers and leaves and put them between two cardboard papers. We fixed the sheet on a wooden board. Di hammered the paper and so smashed the flowers. The flowers released the sap and printed it on the paper. Honestly, I didn`t like the view of the smashed flowers and leaves, because I like them very much. I won`t do this activity anymore...

Bubble wrap prints

I found this activity at Hubbardscupboard.
Di and Mimi painted the bubble wrap and then they made the prints on the paper. In the afternoon Tomas` brother Peter and his mother, aunt Nelka and Tomas` cousin Danka visited us, so we grilled meat together. Well at last I learned how to add links to my blog. Hip hooray!

Counting

Di knows to count from 1 to 10 in Slovak and from 1 to 5 in English. She likes counting when we are playing a hiding game or when she is swinging. So I tried this activity to practice counting. She threw the dice and counted the dots. Then she picked the same number of balls from a bowl. I have to admit, that she lost interest in this activity quite early. I will try to use some sweets next time!

Catch ball

It was Saturday a working day. Di spent Saturday with her grandma. In the evening we played catch ball. She really tried to hit a ball and it worked. You know, we hit a ball only two or three times, but we had fun.

Binocular

We went to Košice to do some shopping. We bought swimwear for Di and one for me, T-shirts, shorts, shirt for Tom and red dress for Di. We ate at McDonald, so we had enough energy to do shopping. There are playgrounds for kids, train and other attractions for kids in Optima, so we were held up there. In the evening we went to roast sausages with Thomas` colleagues to Alpinka.
We made this binocular a couple weeks ago. You need two toilet paper rolls, a blue tempera, a paintbrush, a coloured paper, an elastic, a glue and scissors. Di painted two toilet papers with blue tempera. Then I cut a strip from coloured paper decorated with a flower cutter. I glued blue rolls with the strip. Finally I made a hole in both rolls and thread the elastic through them.

Ant

We made this activity in FMC Mamulienka and moms helped their children of course. We needed scissors, a glue, coloured papers and markers. We could choose to make an ant or a centipede.
First moms cut three blue circles to make the ant and three red circles to make some flowers from coloured papers. Then they cut a ribbon from an orange paper. Kids glued the circles on green paper and moms drew the rest.

Plasticine

We went to Di`s allergologist today. Di is OK and healthy. She isn`t allergic to milk nor to egg. Her immunity system is also good. We were tired a little bit after coming home, so I chose an activity with plasticine since Di likes plasticine craft very very much. Mimi also came to see us, so she helped Di to create this cute scene with a baby.

Decorative paper

Di likes this activity very much. To do this you need a box, a small ball or a baseball, golden tempera, a paintbrush, a plate and coloured paper. Put the paper into the box. Paint the plate and roll the ball into the paint. Then roll the golden ball into the box. This decorative paper goes with a postcard, invitation and so on.

A key pendant

We went to Košice today. My husband works there, so we went to see him at work and also to choose a holiday to the travel agency. We intentionally didn`t go by car. We went by bus to Krompachy, by train to Košice and finally by tram. Di travelled by real train and tram for the first time in her life.
We made this activity earlier. I helped Mimi to make this key pendant while Di practiced to string her pasta on a scoubi. We needed a leather strap, Di`s pasta, a cone, some beads, feather, yellow wool, thread and a butterfly from an old bunch. First you need to knot the strap. Then bind the strung beads and pasta, feather and the cone close above the knot with the thread. We bound the butterfly on the strap. Finally wound the knot with the wool to hide the thread. By the way, you can bind everything you want on your pendant.

A pilgrimage

We went on a pilgrimage on Mariánska hora in Levoča today. It was nice and sunny weather today. It is well known pilgrimage site in Slovakia. There is a basilica minor consecrated to the Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary. Alojz Tkáč celebrated the mass and he had really nice discipline about feeling high esteem for woman. He told about the image of woman in Bible and about Jesus` respect to women at all. From time to time I was close to tears. Di was really good, a little bit active and courageous. First she can`t understand where we are going, she asked if there are some slides or swimming pools etc. I think that she understood in the end.

Trace and paint

I bought a Trace and paint book for Di, so we tried. First I showed her how to trace the picture and Di really tried hard, but her pictures weren`t exact. Then I helped her to trace the picture by holding her hand. Finally she painted the picture with Mimi.

Pencil case craft

Di got this pencil case craft from our neighbours Čakurda. They bought it in Tesco. It contained a pink pencil case, some stickers and four paints for textile. Di decorated the pencil case with stickers and then we used the paints. But they flew down, when we hung them up to dry out, so I washed the painted shapes.

Pasta necklace

I painted some pasta Penne orange, red and yellow. I bought Scoubi strings with a giggi. When the paint dried out, Di strung the pasta on the Scoubi. Finally I fixed the paint with fixation spray.

Di`s name day

Happy name day sweetie!

Di got a lot of gifts from her grandmas. I bought some books for Di on this special day. One of them is a book from Richard Powel - Danny dog`s car. It is the folding picture book of a dog and his car. I read the book with Di and then we made this cute car.
