Sweet heart

To make this activity you need a drawing paper, scissors, punch and colourful threads. First I cut a heart shape from the drawing paper and made some holes with the punch on the edge and also in the middle of the heart. Di strung the threads through the holes with her grandmom. Finally grandmom knotted the threads.

The last day of my maternity leave

It was the last day of my maternity leave. I am going to work tomorrow and I am a bit nervous, because it is my new job, new colleagues, new rules, new students, new school...I do not expect anything special, I am just melancholic since I liked my maternity leave very, very much and I am thankful for the chance to be mother at all. I decided to buy some little presents for Di, althought I know that the presents cannot substitute the time I used to spend with her.
My mother bought her this multi-bubbler.

Playing with dolls

Di likes playing with dolls lately. She cares about them, gets dressed, combs and gives food...While I am cooking in the kitchen, she is sitting on the cover and playing with her dolls. She is very caring!

Paper clips

This activity is from Chasing Cheerios. We needed some coloured papers and coloured paper clips. I cut the papers on the stripes and Di inserted the clips on the stripes. It was quite difficult, but she did it!

Lion

Di likes watching fairy tales. She was watching Lion king 3 today and later on we made the lion from the paper plate. Di painted the plate with yellow and brown tempera. Then I cut the ears, the eyes and the mouth from the Šikovníček magazine and glued them on the plate. Actually, this activity comes from Šikovníček.

Stones

We painted stones with tempera outside, since the weather was beautiful. Finally I fixed the colour with the colourless varnish.

Umbrellas

These cute umbrellas were easy to made. We needed cake baskets, a glue and markers. We bended the baskets in halves and glued them on the paper. We painted the holders of umbrellas, rain and stamps with markers.

Face colours

I bought these Face colours last week in Krompachy. Di paints her tattoos almost every day! And my arms and legs are painted, too...

Counting II

I prepared the counting activity for Di again a she also practiced her motoric skills. She had to throw the dice, count the dots and then put the balls from one bowl to another in the same number with a spoon. She liked playing with the balls, but she didn`t like counting! Probably it was tedious for her.

Tatralandia

We spent all day in Aquapark Tatralandia. It is the largest round-the-year water fun area in Slovakia. It is situated in the region of Liptov. This part of the country abounds in cultural monuments and is known for its typical folk architecture and folklore. Liptov is surrounded by the highest mountains in Slovakia. Tatralandia offers numerous water attractions and other attractions for adults and kids. I liked the Western city.

Di in Krompachy

We went to Krompachy to see mother-in-law and Di`s grandmom on Friday. I have to admit, that I was free, because Di played with her grandmom. We looked at the photos, which grandmom and Tom`s brother took in Switzerland on their holiday. They also brought us some gifts. We went to Krompachy on Saturday, too.

Snail

We made this activity in FMC Mamulienka. I cut the snail from drawing paper. Di painted it with colours and then put the glue on the snail. She cut the stripe of the wool and I helped her to stuck it on the snail`s house into spiral. Finally we made horns from wool and stuck it on his head, Di painted his eyes and I painted his smile.

Washing up

Di bought a basin in a sale and now she washes her dishes every day! Maybe it is a compensation for her swimming pool.

Eating

Di eats with a knife and a fork and she is really skilled at it.

Three bears

Tom bought this Three bears wooden game two years ago and Di has played with bears from her first birthday. She didn`t used to insert them to her mouth. Inspite of this fact we paid attention. She is two and half now and she plays with Three bears alone.

Ladybug on the leaf

We made this picture in FMC Mamulienka. We needed coloured paper, a glue, scissors, crepe paper and a black crayon. First we cut the flower and the leaves from the coloured paper. We glued the leaves on the flower. Then we cut the circle from the crepe paper and glued it on the flower. We made little balls from the crepe paper and glued it on the crepe circle. We cut the red ladybug and two orange stripes from the coloured paper. We folded up the stripes one through another and glued them on the flower. Finally we drew seven black spots and the head of the ladybug and glued it on the folded stripes.

Anniversary

A friend of my mother called Vlado celebrated his 50. The celebration was organized in a hotel Mladosť in Lipany. I liked the speech of his brother Maroš. It was full of funny childhood memories. We had BBQ together in the evening in his garden.

Goulash with our dogs

We went to Čingov in Slovenský raj with our friends Nechalovci. They invited us to their weekend cottage. We cooked kettle goulash and had fun with our dogs. There were 9 adults, 5 children and 7 dogs together. We spent wonderful time

Shaun the sheep

We were quite surprised when we found this cute Shaun the sheep marionette in Bulgaria. It was one of the presents we bought for Di. Di likes it very much. She plays, eats, sleeps, watches TV...with Shaun the sheep. Sometimes I am a nervous wreck from Shaun the sheep. We also like the official site of Shaun the sheep.

Comeback

Hello again!

We came back from Bulgaria - Sunny Beach on 5 August. It was time to relax, to swim, to sunbathe and to meet other people and their culture. We all loved it very, very much. On the fourth day of our holiday Di wanted to go home and it was quite difficult to persuide her to stay in a hotel. We also visited a historical Old Nessebar peninsula with its port, windmill and the beach, the church of Jesus Christ Pantocrator, the church St. John Aliturghetos and ruins of a Basilica. We spent one day in aquapark Action. We also loved bulgarian food and nice people.
Now we enjoy Home Sweet Home!
