Di`s Theater

It was raining for three days and we couldn`go out, so Di suddenly got bored. There were some coulisses and story book characters to cut in the Šikovníček magazine, so I helped Di to cut them and we created the theater. First Di was the audience and I played the stories and then we changed the roles.

Art projects

Di attends kindergarten, but she is often ill and stays with her grandmom. You can see two art projects she made at kindergarten in these photos.

Mother`s day

I was invited with the other moms to celebrate Mother`s day at Di`s kindergarten. Children were reciting poems, singing and dancing. They also prepared a nice gift for their mums. It was the first performance in Di`s life, amazing and very important step and I have never seen the sweetest one in my life. I was closed to tears...but I was supposed to smile, so I smiled and applauded...

Flowers

This is quite easy activity to do with little children. You need some paper, paper baking cups, glue and tempera. I cut out the shape of the flower. Meanwhile Di painted the baking cup. Then she painted the flower and stuck the cup on the flower.

Happy Easter

Warm wishes for a wonderful Easter!
Di made this easy chick. I helped her to cut the chick and Di painted it with yellow and orange tempera. Another day she painted some paper eggs with watercolours with her grandma.

Vrátna free time zone

We went to Vrátna on Friday and we spent three fantastic days with Di`s christening father there. Di learned to ski as you can see in the photo. She liked skiing very much. There are several different ski locations in Vrátna dolina with many activities to do.

Bear and Cow

Di has got small pox. She has to be at home. It is difficult to amuse her, because it requires alternation of different activities. Luckily my colleague gave me this paper, so we started to paint the bear and the cow, then we cut them and stuck them to the paper rolls as you can see in the picture.

Giraffe

Another cut out activity from Šikovníček magazine. Di made the paper giraffe with her grandma and they forgot to stick the tail...xixi.

Heart bracelet

I found this easy activity here. And I suppose you don`t need my comments :)

1,2,3,4,5

Di is playing with pellets and numbers. She likes playing with pellets, but she doesn`t like counting :-). She cannot connect these two informations - number and quantity. But we will try next time again.

Kindergarten

Di started to attend Kindergarten in Široké. It is really difficult to predict how a child will handle separation on the first days of kindergarten. I tried to prepare her to make it easier, but I am not sure, if it worked. I bought a book The first day at kindergarten (in Slovak) and we read it more times. Of course, she liked the book very much. Then she spent a couple of nights at Grandma`s flat and she put up with it quite bravely. But...The first day - Monday at kindergarten was OK, because she didn`t know what to expect. She cried when I said goodbye on Tuesday. I asked her how was it after coming home, she just replied it was OK. I asked her what did she do, what did she eat, who did she meet, but she didn`t want to say anything. She started to cry in the car on Wednesday. She cried a lot even on Thursday and she wanted to go to her grandma. Finally she started to cry when we left home on Friday and cried till I left kindergarten...And she had a temperature during the weekend. She is ill and she stays with her grandma this week...

Numbers, numbers

This is another number activity from 1 to 10. Di has to puzzle different animals according to quantity displayed in the picture.

A snowman from Šikovníček

This was another magazine Šikovníček activity. A paper snowman. I had to cut out the patterns and stuck the parts. The cap is removable. Although Di didn`t help with the making, she often plays with this cute paper snowman and fosters her imagination.

Cat

I was inspired by Art lessons for kids. I painted a cat with a black wax crayon. Di helped me to paint it orange. After that Di used water colours to paint background.

Caterpillar

This activity is similar to that in Art lessons for kids. We stuck some pieces of paper handkerchiefs on the white drawing paper. We used the Wurstol glue mixed with water and a brush. It had to dry up. We didn´t use rollers to paint it, because we din`t have any...so we painted the paper with the brush and water colours. It had to dry up. I cut out some circles, eyes and other parts of a caterpillar and then I helped Di to stuck them on the white paper. And the result was amazing :-).

Bonbonik

This book was one of Di`s christmas presents and it is adorable for her, because she loves stickers. Our house is full of stickers, they are almost everywhere! Bonbonik is a tale about a puppy called Bonbonik. It goes with a girl called Majka and a boy called Miško on a farm. The story is needed to be filled with added stickers.
